Millennium Science & Engineering, Inc. (MSE) of Chantilly, VA was recently awarded an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract for Project Development, Project Management, Environmental and General Engineering Services worldwide for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Chemonics International (CI) of Washington, D.C. is a key team member on the MSE Team.
The contract, with a ceiling of US$ 50 million per year for up to five years, will allow MSE to provide engineering services on a worldwide basis for those countries that have submitted successful proposals to MCC. MSE's sector coverage under the contract includes complete water / wastewater and facilities engineering services.
With strong bipartisan support, the MCC was established in 2004. Its objective is to reduce poverty in promoting sustainable economic growth through investments in areas such as agriculture, education, private sector development, and capacity building. MCC assistance will go to those countries that have developed
well-designed programs with clear objectives, benchmarks to measure progress, procedures to ensure fiscal accountability for the use of MCC assistance, and a plan for effective monitoring and objective evaluation of results. Programs will be designed to enable sustainable progress even after the funding under the MCA Compact has ended.
